Hockey 101: Ages 4-5 & Ages 6+
Hockey 101 is an introductory class for brand new hockey players to learn the fundamentals of the game. Our small group classes focus primarily on skating skills to improve balance and agility, then shift to basic hockey skills including passing, shooting, and stickhandling. Full equipment is required and all participants MUST be able to skate on their own.
FIA Hockey is an intermediate class for the young hockey player, emphasizing the development of strong technique. Participants will focus on striding, stopping, backwards skating, puck handling, and shooting. Small area games will be used at the end of each class to introduce the early concepts of situational play. Our small class sizes and low player:coach ratio ensures that players are getting individualized attention. All players MUST be evaluated in a Hockey 101 class before joining the FIA Hockey programs.
